Here’s the Key, Let’s Remodel
Our Southport homeowners were referred to Designer Chris Gibson through KT Coastal Remodeling.Â
Seeking FunctionÂ
During the initial design consultation, Chris and the homeowners discussed the homeowners’ desire to increase the functionality of their kitchen while keeping the layout of their kitchen the same. One way to accomplish this for the homeowner was to increase the number of drawers and eliminate as many cabinets as possible. In doing so, the homeowners could simply pull out the drawers to search for the right item while cooking versus having to kneel or climb to reach items in the kitchen.
Kitchen Design
After understanding the elements of the kitchen that were most important, the homeowners made their cabinetry and countertop selections. The cabinetry chosen was Waypoint’s door style 410F Shaker in Linen to pair well with a quartz countertop fittingly named Southport from Cambria.
Here’s the Key
Once selections were made and the design was finalized, the homeowners said “Here’s the key” and traveled north for the length of the renovation giving Designer Chris the green light to get started. Throughout the renovation, Chris kept the homeowners in the loop with photos, videos, and Face-times during installation to ensure they could monitor progress and ask questions.
The End Result
The pictures of this project speak volumes about how beautiful the homeowners’ selections were and the Google review they shared of their experience was simply gold for us. The end result is what we wish for every project that we do. Happy homeowners with a beautiful kitchen.

Lights Shine Bright in Southport Kitchen
Our Southport homeowners came to Designer Amy Richardson seeking to brighten their existing kitchen.Â
Cabinet, Countertop & Hardware Selections
Desiring to keep the same layout, the homeowners’ selections focused primarily on modernizing the space with updated cabinetry and countertops. The couple selected Kraftmaid in Dove White for the perimeter of the kitchen. The cabinetry was paired with a Silestone quartz countertop, Charcoal Soapstone, and a contemporary hardware selection from Richelieu.Â
Why Good Partners Matter?
This Southport NC project was relatively uneventful it was. The homeowners had selected glass cabinetry from Kraftmaid. The selection made was beautiful but upon arrival the glass looked significantly different. Designer Amy contacted Kraftmaid on behalf of her homeowners and learned due to supply chain issues the glass supplier had been changed. This was not acceptable to the homeowner and Kraftmaid stood behind what was sold and shipped new cabinetry. Yes, there was a delay in completion but there was no charge the homeowner had to incur.
We share these details because it represents to us why good partners matter. At Brunswick Cabinets and Countertops, we strive to be a good partner for our homeowner but we require our product partners to be as well.Â
