Kitchen Remodel

Advanced Shopping Yields Savings in Shallotte

When you own a 1930s home with a 35+-year-old kitchen, it’s safe to assume there might be a couple of updates you’d like to make.

For our Shallotte client, the kitchen remodel was a part of a larger list of planned renovations they desired to renovate for their own taste. In addition to stamped concrete sidewalks and a sunroom, they wanted to fully renovate their kitchen and we were happy to help.

For this kitchen remodel, the client shared the problem with our Designer Chris the instant he walked in. The existing kitchen was 100% pine, dark, and closed in. Additionally, upper and lower cabinets were the first thing you saw when you walked into the home which cut off one’s view of the kitchen. The challenge proposed to us was to maximize cabinet space without having to put the uppers back in so that the space felt open and bright.

During our initial consultation, the client also shared they were in the planning stage and were not going to start their renovations due to a planned vacation for another 6 months.

It is this type of situation where our Owner/Designer Chris Gibson excels. At times, our manufacturers will discount product lines or offer incentives. This information is not something we are privy to in advance but when launched is immediately shared with us. In the case of our client’s project, their chosen cabinet line began a manufacturer special about two months after their showroom visit and about 4 months from the start of their project.

Since they were upfront in sharing their timeframe, Chris recognized potential savings for the customer when their manufacturer launched the promotion for their chosen line. He called the homeowners to share the news that they could greenlight the project and make the cabinet purchase order to take advantage of the savings. Then, we would place the order on hold prior to being pushed to production to ensure it was delivered after their vacation but in time for the renovation to start. This approach yielded significant savings for the homeowner.

Check out the amazing transformation photos and be sure to read what the homeowner had to say about the entire project experience.

Brunswick Kitchen and Countertops is the place to go! Just can’t say enough good things about them. I had been planning on remodeling my little kitchen for a long time but didn’t know where to start and didn’t want to spend a fortune doing it. Just happened to stop by Brunswick Cabinets…. met Chris, his wife, and Cindy. They make you feel like family!  Chris came up with the most awesome design. He followed through to the end with coordinating his team, kept us informed, and was always on spot with details. Our new little kitchen is spacious, efficient, and beautiful with quality cabinets and workmanship! Chris we thank you for being a man who stands behind his promises. I am elated with the results! Thank you!

Kitchen Remodel

A Standout in Shallotte

As professional designers, it is always an exciting opportunity to work with a client that is daring. This Shallotte, NC kitchen remodel was a standout for us. Why? Well, adding a “pop” of color in the design world is very common but our Shallotte client’s kitchen selection for their “pop” of color was surprising and oh such fun!

Our clients chose what is typically reserved for a functional piece in the kitchen to instead be their kitchen’s centerpiece. They opted for a “pop” of color…with a red kitchen sink!

It’s sure to be a conversation piece for years to come and we love how perfectly it pairs with their neutral selections of cabinetry and countertops.

This project’s designer Cindy, the fabulous clients, and the installation team that dared to go “bold” made this project a kitchen remodel to remember.

Give us a shout if you are thinking about a kitchen remodel and have some bold ideas that you’d like to make a reality. Or if you are in town and looking for a cabinet and countertop store, we offer free kitchen design consultations both in-store and on-site.
