Real Estate Investor Seeks Kitchen Design Partner in Ocean Isle Beach

Great partnerships are built over time and to make them last you need transparency, trust, and understanding.

Real estate investor, Bud Farag sought out Designer Cindy Bennett-McCune for two new projects in Ocean Isle Beach after using her as a new construction and remodeling partner 8 years prior.

Designing for Investment

Bud, an investor both in North Carolina and Florida, wanted Cindy’s design expertise for his latest projects in North Carolina. One project was a remodel to his vacation rental “The Big One” and the other project was for “The Citrus Beach Club”, a new construction rental.

Bud’s investment portfolio primarily includes homes for weddings and large gatherings so the properties in OIB needed to accommodate open spaces for 10+ guests to gather. Additionally, choosing the right layout (specifically in the kitchens) for ultimate functionality in the space was critical to ensure caterers could move with ease.

Big Picture in Mind

As the details in the design plans for both projects were coming together, Cindy kept the big picture in mind. Yes, she would create a double kitchen in one and a triple kitchen in the other (with ample space for the caterers to move) but to achieve success for her investor the planning was more involved. 

To be successful, the chosen design for a vacation rental needs to attract the right audience which requires the right look. To be a profitable project for her client, Cindy must keep the budget tight as well. During this phase of the project, she worked with Bud and his business partners. Cindy offered selections at an affordable price point for her client’s budget based on what’s current and trending for the Brunswick County rental market. Selections chosen by the team were Waypoint’s 410F in Linen with a Quartz Statuario countertop.
